Garden Party 2006

The garden party took place this summer on a lovely sunny day. A big Thank you to Jenny and Les Riggs for opening up their home and garden for us and the use of the grand daughter work force which as was mentioned there seems to be a never ending supply!!! Several presentations happened at the party. Les Riggs was awarded his PRA medal. Bernardette the Duke of Edinburgh student has been running table tops and car boot sales all summer and she presented the Branch with a nice cheque which judging by the look on 'Fagans' face was rather nice!! Our webmaster was also presented a watch to thank her for her efforts with the website. she was delighted with her gift and treasures it. The raffle was a huge success as well although all the female smellies seemed to go to males... is someone saying something??? On a serious note it is always delightful to see so many members and friends of the branch supporting all the efforts of the committee and their long haired Sgt Majors when days like this are organised. Many thanks.
